193 South Winooski Avenue Burlington, Vermont 05401
Live/work in the hub of downtown Burlington, VT. ‘The Freezer’ is the newest addition to the former H.P. Hood milk bottling plant complex, at the corners of South Winooski Avenue, King and Church Streets. At one time the actual location of the coolers serving the truck- loading docks, ‘The Freezer’ is now home to four dazzling, newly constructed 2-bedroom units and one 2150 Square Foot commercial space.
Metropark, LLC. is the developer, owner and manager of the former H.P. Hood Plant in Burlington. ‘The Hood” was purchased directly from H.P. Hood Inc. in 1998 after 50 years of continuous ownership. Monthly parking is offered in the Hood Plant parking lot. The Hood Residences Condominium, a copper-clad, 5-story building, was completed 2005. The Freezer, is designed to complement the copper (which will patina to Turquoise) and cedar-clad Hood Residences and the existing Old Hood Plant. Each building is unique, to create a vibrant street-scape, with attention paid to rooflines, which contributes to the vista of a city. The architect hired for ‘The Freezer” was Burlington’s Smith Buckley Architects.
